feeling festive #7 - family

I had such a wonderful Christmas day. I got some lovely and thoughtful gifts from my family, they know me so well! One thing that I don't like about Christmas is that the day seems to be over so quickly - but I enjoyed every minute of it!

On Boxing Day we went to my aunt and uncle's house! It was so nice and so much fun! My aunt is such a good cook and my cousins make me laugh so much!

I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas and have been able to spend it with the ones you love.

Merry Christmas lovelies xxx

feeling festive #6 - sparkle

Chanel - Peridot & Deborah Lippmann - Shake Your Groove Thing

I picked up both these nail varnishes on a recent trip to London with my friend Sian from Australia. I thought I would treat myself to some nice nail varnish for Christmas; I wanted a bit of sparkle!
This is my second Chanel nail varnish. I really love my first one and when I saw this lovely colour, I thought I'd treat myself to another. I've never tried a Deborah Lippmann nail varnish before, but Sian has a whole collection. I thought I'd give it a go and I am pleased that I did. Have you painted your nails especially for Christmas?

feeling festive #5 - jumper

(top to bottom: black jumper from Primark, red and white jumper from Forever 21 in Vegas, beige jumper from Primark and red jumper from Primark)

I never used to be a fan of jumpers, but this year I fell in love. They're big, comfy and so warm. Above are some of the jumpers that I find myself living in. I am sure I will be spending Christmas day wrapped up in one of my big jumpers. Do you have a favourite jumper?

feeling festive #4 - christmas tree

I love the smell of a real Christmas tree. I went with my dad to collect our tree this year at a local tree farm. I love walking around looking at all the trees; so many different sizes, types and smells.

We have two Christmas trees in our house; one real and one artificial. I love getting all our decorations from the loft and putting them up all around our house. It really does put me in the festive mood. Here are some of my favourite decorations:

As soon as we put our decorations up, I was in a much more festive mood. I hope you're looking forward to Christmas too :)

say yes more

You may of seen Yes Man the film? It was based on this book written by Danny Wallace. I am a huge fan of Danny Wallace, his books are so funny and inspirational.
Just like the film, Danny says Yes to everything! I prefer the book because what is written in the pages, actually happened to Danny and it is amazing to see how one small word changed his life. I won't give the story line away but I urge you to read it!
I think this is one of the only books that has had me laughing out loud. Not a little chuckle, but a full blown laughing-uncontrollable-until-your-stomach-hurts laugh! Reading it in public will get you some weird looks. I read it on a train once and I literally had to put it away because I was laughing so much. Then I would think about the book and just sit there laughing to myself! So embarrassing! As well as laughing my head off, this book makes me cry! It's brilliantly written and will make you look at your own life, and hopefully Say Yes More.

I have a small collection of Danny Wallace books, and I need to get more. He is out to do good in the world, especially in his book Join Me, and it is a great read along the way!

If you have read any of his books or buy any after this post, please let me know what you think!

harry potter by jaymie

I think you'll agree, Jaymie O'Callaghan is a very talented lady! If you have read my blog for a while, you will know I am a huge fan of Harry Potter! When I saw this in Jaymie's shop, I had to buy it!

Jaymie is such a lovely person. I was lucky enough to meet her at the first #ldnbloggermeet and I hope to see her again soon! Jaymie has recently become a full time freelancer and self employed and I am so excited for her, I know she will do so well!

Jaymie's blog is amazing and a true friend that I have found through blogging.

buddy

I had heard a lot about ELF on twitter. I had a look and the first thing that shocked me was the price, it's just so cheap! Amongst a lot of make up, I thought I'd try this nail varnish. The nail varnish is Champagne and I love the colour. The nail varnish did chip quite easily, but I didn't have a base or top coat on when I wore this. Even though it did chip, I would highly recommend this product. It's great for a night out and there is such a wide range of colours. What do you think of ELF nail varnishes?

feeling festive #3 - rochester

I went to Rochester yesterday with my mum. It was the first time I have been to Roachester and it was really beautiful to go there this time of year. Rochester is a really old fashioned town, and I loved it. Me and my mum spent a lot of time in antiques shops, in the pub and wondering around the streets sipping mulled wine. A beautiful day!

There was a market, carol singers, fancy dress and even fake snow. I really enjoyed spending my day with my wonderful mum, she's my super hero!

#ldnxmasbloggermeet - jewellery sponsors

Maggie Angus was a lovely sponsor of the #ldnxmasbloggermeet. Anna had made each of us a lovely Fox Ring, which has also been seen on The X Factor. This year I started working for Anna and I have loved every minute of it. Anna is such a lovely lady, thank you so much for sponsoring our event.

Wired Jewellery is run by the wonderful Faye. It was the first time I met Faye at #ldnxmasbloggermeet and I am so pleased I got to meet her. I absolutely love Faye's chalk board jewellery! I love that you can have a different design every day. Clearly, I need to practise drawing on the jewellery! I will be hanging the Christmas decoration on my tree with pride. Thank you so much Faye.

Bang on Vintage is run by Debs. I haven't been able to meet Debs yet, but I hope I do one day! She was meant to be coming to #ldnxmasbloggermeet but she's busy moving at the moment. Even though Debs didn't come, she still made a wonderful bracelet for each of the bloggers. Each bracelet uses vintage beads and charms and each was unique. Debs is offering 15% off her shop if you use discount code XMASBLOGGER11.

A massive thank you to you all for the lovely jewellery!

feeling festive #2 - decorations

As it's finally December, I thought it's an appropriate time to blog about decorations! One of my favourite sites is Ditzy Doll. The items are vintage and pretty. A little while ago I bought these Christmas decorations, and I just had to show them to you.

The Christmas Shop is full of pretty things and well worth the look, along with the Lovely Home shop. Sarah also has twitter and is so lovely to chat to. Have you got any special decorations this year?

#ldnxmasbloggermeet - our day

I would like to start this post by saying a massive 'thank you' to every one that come to the blogger meet. It was so good to meet you all and I hope you all enjoyed yourself. I also want to say 'thank you' to Law who helped me plan the day and all the brilliant sponsors we had.
After  all the emails, securing the lovely sponsors, making sure I had everyone on the guest list, it was a relief when the day finally come around.
The blogger meet took place in the very festive Warwick pub just off of Regent Street, London on Saturday 19th November. We had the basement to ourselves for the afternoon and it was a brilliant space for us all. I met my lovely friend Emma from Frank PR before and we had some lunch and cocktails (to settle the nerves). Soon Law arrived with her lovely Barry and then our day begun.

First up, the lovely Sarah from Lush come along to talk to us about some of the amazing products. I am one of the people that thought that Lush was mainly bath bombs, but how wrong was I! Their bath bombs are amazing but I will definitely be buying some of their other products soon. We all got an amazing gift bag from Lush with some new products to try. I will do doing a separate post on these.
Next up was the lovely Anna from Maggie Angus. A little while ago I started working for Anna and I make some of the lovely jewellery on the website. She's an absolutely lovely lady and I love working for her! Anna spoke about how she started her shop which was really inspirational and it was great to hear how far her shop has come. Maggie Angus jewellery is in all kinds of magazines and even on X Factor.
Anna also bought along a selection of her Spring/Summer 2012 collection, which I absolutely love. My favourites being the cloud shaped jewellery and the wooden ancor.
The lovely Faye from Wired Jewellery also sponsored our event. I was so pleased I finally got to meet Faye because we would spend our time talking about Australia and the food.
Faye also spoke in front of everyone, even though she was so nervous! She told us about the reasons she started her shop, what her products are made from and plans for the future. Faye is an absolutely girl and has actually started her own blog after coming along to the blogger meet.
The lovely Debs from Bang on Vintage also sponsored our event with some lovely bracelets that she specially created for #ldnxmasbloggermeet. Debs couldn't make it to the day, because she is busy moving house, but a massive thank you for sending me the lovely jewellery to give to everyone.
Debs was kind enough to offer everyone that come to the blogger meet and their readers 15% off Bang on Vintage by using discount code XMASBLOGGER11.
Law bought along Love Label gift boxes for us all from Very.co.uk. Inside is a cheek tint and highlighter and 3 plumping lip glosses. Such a lovely present for us all!
Claire, Faye, Puja and Jasmine
me and Kirsti
Emma, me and Emily
After our time at the pub me, Law, Jo, Amy, Lucy and Faye went and had coffee and chatted about our day. Then me and Law slipped off for a cheeky McDonalds.
I hope you all enjoyed yourself as much as I did. It was so good to meet you all, you're all so lovely. I am gutted that I wasn't able to speak to you all more, but there will be more blogger meets for us to meet again.
Thank you so much!
p.s. most of the above photos have been taken from Law's blog.
