wild hearts can't be broken

I can not handle hangovers at all. I have spent the majority of the day in bed after a great night out in London with Faye. After a 5 hour "nap" I managed to muster up the energy to go out to dinner with my mum and dad in Leigh-on-Sea. It was such a lovely evening!

feeling festive #9 - secret santa in june

For a few years now me and my friends have done Secret Santa a bit backwards. At Christmas we all go out for dinner and pick who we will have to buy for, but instead of giving our presents at Christmas we wait until half way through the year. So we didn't sound totally mental, we come up with a few reasons... At Christmas all our money is spent on presents for the family so we don't really have spare money for friends. Plus, who doesn't love getting a random present half way through the year!!
Here are the presents I received. I got a big bottle of Budwiser, Mojito and a Gryffindor scarf... My friends really do know me well! I was so pleased with the gifts I received. I did a post here which shows what I got last year.

he loves me, he loves me not

This has been one long week for me. To celebrate the start of the weekend I wanted to take my family out for dinner to The Peter Boat in Leigh on Sea, but by the time everyone got in from work it was a bit too late. This is what I had planned to wear for the evening but it won't be long before I'm in my pyjamas watching some Sex and the City.

This is the first weekend in at least 3 months that I have nothing planned and that I won't be going to London. I don't really know what to do with myself and my free time this weekend but I'm sure it will include plenty of DVDs. I will also be sorting through the huge amounts of clothes and shoes that I have and need to sell. I don't think I have thrown anything away for at least 7 years and my cupboards are literally overflowing!!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend. Don't forget about the #ldnbloggermeet I am organising on 7th July. All details are here. You can also ready about my time at Harry Potter Studio Tours here on my Travel Blog.

#ldnbloggermeet

I have been saying for a long time that I will be organising another blogger meet. With summer finally here (kind of) I have decided now would be a great time.

I have decided that I am going to attempt to pull off the original plans that I had for the first blogger meet I arranged. I realise they are extremely optimistic plans with the great weather we have been having at the moment, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will happen.

What?
My original plans were for a meet in Hyde Park but Wireless Festival is the same weekend, so I am moving the meet to Regent's Park. Bring a blanket and some food and drink and we'll basically chill out and have a chin wag in the sunshine (hopefully!).
I will be looking for a spot in Regent's Park for us all to meet and I will put a map up soon. The nearest stations are Regent's Park or Baker Street. Have a look at this site for planned closures.
I will be coming up with a back up plan over the next few weeks because, let's face it, our Great British weather isn't so fabulous.

When?
Saturday 7th July at midday.

Who?
I will be sending this link to everyone who has said they have been interested in the meet. If you would like to come along, please let me know so I have a rough idea of numbers, really for the back up plan. You can contact me by email at: the-daisychain@hotmail.co.uk or on twitter: @emmaharold. Anyone is welcome to the meet, the more the merrier!

 To come...
I will post a map in another blog post of where we are all going to meet so you know where everyone will be :) Once I have the back up plan sorted, I will let you all know. I will also do a post with everyone who has said they will be coming so you can follow each other on twitter and check out each others blogs.

Hopefully I'll be seeing you soon :)

You can read about the fist blogger meet I arranged here and the second blogger meet I arranged here.

daddy's girl

My family is always late, and today was no different. We will all, eventually, be going to Sussex for to celebrate Father's Day and my Grandad's birthday. Whilst I waited for my family to get ready I thought I'd actually do an outfit post even though I have reached new levels of looking like a pleb! I hope you all have a lovely Sunday and this weather holds up!

chasing daisies

I can not believe that it has been nearly 3 months since I last did a post. To call it a 'short break' is a bit of an understatement. But I am well and truly back to blogging and I am really looking forward to it. I have a few posts planned including an update on my Operation Shorts and some outfit posts.
I have also changed my mind totally on what I want to do with my life. It used to be all about Australia but after having some good news from my job I am thinking of staying in England for much longer. I am planning on going to Australia for a month next year but I think that will be it for now.
I have also decided that I want to concentrate more on what makes me happy, because it's important to be happy right? For me this is includes getting experience in event planning and looking to move to London! I will be doing more blogger meets so I get to meet some more of you lovely people. I am also going to organising something a bit different which will combine my love for travel and blogging. Keep an eye out ;)

It's been a weird few months of seeing friends go through hard times and finding out just how confusing some people really are. But things are looking up for my friends and I can finally start to get my head around the fact that I am basically Bridget Jones before the whole Daniel Cleaver or Mark Darcy fiasco, because I have no one. I will now leave you with the image of me singing in to an empty vodka bottle whilst listening to Sad FM ;)
